Actually, it is a word. English is what's known as an "adaptable language" meaning that it's constantly evolving, being reshaped and remolded by societal interactions and popular influence. Anyone can make up new words and new writing styles, you're only limited by your range of creativity. True, you should always keep your audience in mind and catering your language to the lowest common denominator is often a good thing to do, especially from marketing aspects. As far as artistic use of the language though the sky's the limit, there are no boundaries and there are no real rules.
